Experience Salvation in Jesus Christ
The Problem
Everything started when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, by listening to the voice of the enemy by doing the opposite of what God asked of them. And because all humans descended from Adam and Eve, we carried their disobedience and rebellion in our DNA, and with every action that we commit that is inherently bad.
Consequently because of our disobedience and not meeting the right standards and requirements, we lost the connection with had with God, our Creator. We became enemies of God and subject to judgement and condemnation because of our rebellion and many sins.
(You might think, but I haven’t done no wrong to no one, nor done anything bad in my life. I am a good person. No one is righteous, no one does good (Romans 3:10-12). Jesus even took it further, stating, that no one is good, except God, the Father (Mark 10:18).
The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. Ezekiel 18:20 NKJV
The solution and the gift
The life of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the cross is the ultimate gift God has given the world and humanity to bring us closer to Him, in this way restoring the lost relationship and connection lost through Adam and Eve.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 NLT
Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit. 1 Peter 3:18 NLT
What should I do to be saved?
The Bible gives us clear actions and steps we must take to be saved,
First, you must confess Jesus Christ as Lord and believe in your heart that God raise him from the dead.
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10 NKJV
It is imperative that we understand that we are saved by faith and not by any work we do.
“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” Ephesians 2:8-9 NLT
WHAT IS NEXT?
Now that you have confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are forgiven and are in right standing with God the Father; you have peace with God and now have become children of God, and coheir with Jesus Christ.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13 NKJV
